Gleaners Food Bank. Production of new cars and trucks, is all that is Ford, but are also the neck in mud, sweat, sustainability and volunteerism. What exactly are the dirty deals that Ford's hands and feet, you ask? Ford called Accelerated Action Day and one of the most notable initiatives that a car company has done to improve the environment of a metropolitan city and water conservation, and help organizations in the community. The Ford Volunteer Corps were en masse on May 14, 2010, as a dozen volunteers at three sites helped make the industry the eye sores on the nature trails, gardens and the restoration of a wildlife refuge in Detroit, Michigan and other areas. Volunteers also created systems to conserve water by installing rainwater collection systems and storm filtering.
The Detroit River International Wildlife Refuge enormous strides in establishing a shelter in Dearborn to Ohio state line, and could not have done it without the help of the Ford Motor Group. Ford supports the efforts of several initiatives and environmental sustainability not only in their vehicles but also in its manufacturing plants, reducing water consumption and keep looking for other ways to reduce your carbon footprint.
